This is an interesting concept that has escaped my attention. It makes sense as an opportunity to capture some of the naturally occurring energy drifting over our heads.
There are many different concepts on how best to accomplish the task of tapping into the Jet Stream, but all face the same problems. How do you service a generator at 30,000 ft with jet-liners buzzing all around? How do you deal with a moving target (the Jet Stream meanders around up to several hundred miles, seasonally)?
